I have to write to say that I love the styles of your clothing.  I have been overweight for most of my life and I have never found clothes that are as stylish as yours.  The materials are nice too.  I wish I had the opportunity to order your clothes, I just cannot financially.  I did order years ago and loved the items and I have never forgot your store.  I was just browsing your online catalog and see that things have not changed.  It is so wonderful for large people to be able to have nice clothes.  If I had lots of money I'd be your biggest wardrobe fan!  Keep up the great work,
Sincerely, Suzanne T

Thank you so much for having you Blog available to read! It's really insightful! I have been shopping at MIB since the early 1990's and have always loved the fabrics and styles available. I'm even more thrilled to bits with the new colors and modern cuts of fabric. My most favorite items are the two piece swimsuits (i.e., Kalahari Two piece swimsuit, Aura two-piece swimsuit, and Lanai swimsuit).I do have a suggestion, as a woman of size that does ten hours of water aerobics a week, your swim tops last for about a month or so in the chlorinated water, but the swim bottoms don't last as long. This usually means I have to purchase a new suit every other month, when really all I need to purchase is new shorts. I was wondering if it would be possible to have the swim trunks sold separately from the tops? Not only would this be great to buy as the replacement parts, but also I have been struggling with buying the larger sizes on the tops because my top/chest is larger than my bottom half and I have been having a mismatched fit with my bottoms being to big. Any options on buying the swim tops separately from the bottoms is most appreciated! Thank you again for all your hard work!
Sincerely, Muggs B.

Hi, I am a client in Ontario, Canada. Being a person of size looking for clothes in a small rural community is a challenge. I found your site through the computer, luckily too, since I don't have much experience with them. I am very pleased with your clothes line. I am the type who likes solids rather than prints, basic not "frilly" type of clothes. I wish that you would come out with nightgowns that are solid colors and made out of say T-shirt material. That seems to be the only thing other than fall fleece jackets...enjoy your blog...Beverley B.

I love the Venus Shells, perfect for work or social events.  I am a new customer and love your clothes. Laura M.

Dear Christi, I, too, really like my Freddi Blouse.  I wasn’t sure about the solid blue bands, but I liked the kimono styling (might be the Japanese in me).  I was tempted to buy the similar Tulare Top but while I love purple, for some reason I don’t like the material’s pattern of bright purple and beige. I’m glad for the fact that MiB is making wide-leg pants.  For years all they made were the tapered styles that looked like harem pants.  I have bought a pair of the Classic Cotton Pants but haven’t worn them yet. Also purchased but not worn yet: Caspian Tunic and Pants, Sentani Blouse and Addison Blouse.  I love the deep, rich colors. I like the style of the Arlington Blouse but not the colors.  I don’t wear dresses or crop pants due to my swollen legs. I keep looking longingly at the Vivianna Top.  I guess the dark overprint kind of pops out at me, and the effect turns me off.  I may change my mind later. I wish MiB would bring back the French terry bathrobe they sold several years ago.  I had one in purple that I “plum” wore out.- Mary H K.

Hi Christi, You are a beautiful woman. I'm so glad to see you wearing the bright colors that I know you love. I am also plus size but tall -- over 6 ft. and approaching 60 years.  I find that I look better in softer, muted colors and find many items at MIB.  I love the generous length of the blouses and tees -- even the tall pants are long enough for me!  I'm so glad that I came across a MIB catalog. The fashions suit a wide variety of plus size women.-MM P.S.  I've never written to a blog until now

Christi, this was my first time getting to see this wonderful catologue.  I have to tell you that I am so impressed.  You actually have beautiful  plus size models instead of skinny, boney women trying to model clothes for larger ladies and the prices I have seen so far are great you aren't trying to make a million off of one shirt..  Thank you I can't wait to see it all. God bless you. Barbara

I really loved that spotlight of yourself on the MIB web site. I am 37 years old and weigh 425 lbs., and Making it Big is the first sight that I have found that even comes CLOSE to cool clothes. I was a goth in high school, 22 years ago (ugh) and I still lean towards that look. I love lace and corsets! I would looove for you guys to get a little more Renaissance flair in some of your clothes. I usually buy anything from you that has the bell sleeves or the empire waste with baby doll type shirts. I am a fanatic for skirts. I only wear pants if all my skirts/dresses are dirty! I love long, right before the ankle, skirts. Oh and MOST important, skirts and dresses MUST have pockets! :)

For years, I have donated clothes to a local charity which reserves the nicest donations for their "working woman" collection.  This aids women who need interview outfits and/or clothes to maintain a good job.  As my clothes sizes have swung back and forth from 2x to 6x, I donate those clothes that I have not been wearing for a year or more.  Over the years, the coordinators have told me that I have outfitted many women in need.  I feel blessed to have the resources that I do have and that I can share my resources with others who are more limited financially.Lucy B.

I like knits.  The polyester and spandex ones or acetate and spandex wardrobers with pants, skirt, top and jacket are mix and match tools that I like to build my clothing options around.  Then acessories like large beautiful scarves with rich textures and many color options... I will be looking.

I would like to see more cotton fabrics in MIB’s clothes. Cotton is cooler and even in the winter time, when everyone else around me is all bundled up, I prefer to wear cotton as it’s cooler. Living in the South all my life, I dress for comfort year-round. I find that rayon, which you seem to have a lot of in your catalog, is not as comfortable as cotton. Give me a high quality, preshrunk cotton garment anytime over polyester, rayon and all of the other synthetics! Thanks!

Thank you, Christi, I appreciate your time and attention.  And I am always so pleased with my merchandise from Making It Big. I am especially grateful that you use full-bodied women as models so I can see how the items might look on ME- not how they look on skinny woment like in other women's catalogues. This is just a big reason why I like doing business with your company. Again, thank you,Judi K. B.
