I am a Bay Area Native who has dedicated her life to improving the lives of low income/ethnic minority students.

I am the College/Career Advisor for a non-profit organization called the I Have a Dream Foundation which "adopted" a third grade class from one of the most impoverished areas of Oakland, CA, and has raised them in the program for the past 9 years. The goal of this program is to help these students achieve personal and academic goals above and beyond their circumstances.

It is my feeling that it is critical for full-sized women to be seen as beautiful, intelligent and sexy right along with their slimmer counterparts.

I am very active and also enjoy belly dancing, kickboxing, jogging and tennis. Quieter moments find me painting, drawing or snuggling up to my 8 year old kitty, Buster.

I found love in Santa Rosa, CA and after six years together we married on 8.8.08, the luckiest day of my life.

At 35, I have realized that size ISN’T everything! Modeling for MIB as a size D has helped my confidence and given me an outlet for my personality to shine.

Working with MIB and its fabulous staff and wearing their beautiful clothes has been one of the most rewarding experiences since moving to Sonoma County.

I truly enjoy my job as a technology education teacher and learn valuable life lessons from my students regularly!

I am also a youth group leader at my church and feel a deep responsibility to be a positive influence on the education and spiritual growth of our children.

I am "Mom" to a fabulous 15 year old daughter who makes life more interesting and fun every day. She is very social and stays active in sports and school activities. When I am not playing the role of spectator or taxi driver to a group of teenagers, we are off to the beach, mountains, river, riding, shopping or...shopping!

I am thrilled to be a part of such an optimistic group as MIB! The clothes are beautifully crafted and it has been quite a while since I have had the opportunity to play dress up!

I've been a MiB model for many years and love it!!!

I feel that each person has the right to be who they are, independent of the size of their body. I integrate this philosophy when I model, teach my aerobics class, give fitness workshops, and in my corporate work as a Diversity Manager.

I enjoy all that life has to offer; wonderful family and friends, retail therapy (MiB is a good place to start), a great bottle of wine, delicious foods, music concerts, plays, a good book, and places to travel. Living well is the greatest gift!!!

I'm happily married to my soul mate, best friend, love of my life and I'm the mother of the most darling baby girl.

Motherhood is a beautiful thing and I am enjoying every aspect of it. I have a great family, beautiful friends, and all the love I need in my life.

I've made a successful career out of my talent, and I'm extremely passionate about my line of work. I work hard to attain my goals, surround myself with only the most positive of people, and I try best to bring only the best out of others.

I'm glad that I can honestly say I'm content in all aspects of my life and embrace who I am as I'm making it big as a plus sized woman.

I am back in Northern California after 11 years away and loving my life. I work for a wonderful skin care line and a wonderful company.

I met the love of my life online, of all places, and I can't wait to live happily ever after! I am finally comfortable in my own skin and Making it Big has only enhanced my style and comfort.

I have always enjoyed helping people and making them feel good and I hope to pursue a nursing career in the years to come. I hope that the comfort and style of Making it Big makes you feel as good as I do!

I am 29 years old, originally from the SF Bay Area, and now living in Los Angeles where I live my passion as a film producer and a plus-size model. I am driven by my passions and inspired by the people and the beauty of life around me.

Dedicated to empowering Women, I am on the committee of the Hollywood "Love Your Body" campaign and currently planning events for the "Love Your Body Day" festival held in October.

Ladies - It is so powerful, courageous and authentic to love who you are! Every curve speaks volumes about what it is to be a Woman!

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been quite the ham in front of a camera.

Now that I'm older, I still enjoy the attention. I love getting my hair and makeup done and dressing up in beautiful clothes.

As a Production Manager in the publishing industry, I relish the opportunity to get out from behind a desk and express my more creative, artistic side.

I am originally from Southern California, but have spent the last ten years of my life in the Bay Area.

Besides working in publishing and modeling, I have a BFA in Illustration. I love to paint (especially pet portraits) and go antique shopping for my new house that I share with my partner, two dogs and two cats.

I am 5'9", blue eyes and a natural blond (that's what the color on the box says!) and an MiB Size C.

I have spent most of my life living and traveling all over the world, but the minute I moved to San Francisco 3 years ago, I knew it was home.

I live here with my amazing partner and my pride and joy: Amelie (age 17), Alec (16), and Andrew (15). I am an avid swimmer and am currently training to swim from Alcatraz to San Francisco.

My main passion became fashion once I realized how much putting on a beautiful top or dress can lift your mood and make you feel incredible.

I spent many years working in the plus size fashion industry and have much respect and appreciation for the product and message that MIB provides. Love yourself just as you are and live your life to the fullest!

Nicki

I was born and raised in Sonoma County and graduated from Sonoma State University with my Bachelors’ of Arts in Art Studio with an emphasis in painting.

Currently I work for a local tile shop doing Kitchen and Bath Design. It’s so rewarding to help people make their home a place to enjoy and come home to after a long day of work.

I also have my own mural business. I do kitchens, outside patios, guest rooms, and my personal favorite – children’s nurseries. When I’m not working, I like to shop, hang out with my friends, listen to music, paint, read, and travel.

I just recently started modeling for MIB in April 2009. I am very grateful to this company for choosing me to model. They have given me the confidence to realize that you can still be beautiful, appealing, and sexy and you don’t have to be a size two. It is very positive and uplifting. I love it and hopefully can continue modeling for Making it Big!

I was born and raised in the Garlic Capital of the World!! in a somewhat now small city where the smell of garlic greets your nose in the morning... Gilroy, California to be exact.

There are only two places in the world where we have recorded Garlic Festivals!! Japan and here in the U.S.!! California is where the heart is and always will be.

I love our diverse culture and liberal aspects. I was never the type to be center of attention while growing up or in my teenage years. I was always the shy girl in the background.

I didn't actually break out of my shell until my college years. Meeting so many great people gave me the confidence to embrace what I have and be proud!! So many encouraging people persuaded me to get into modeling and well, I have been blessed with the opportunity to do it as an extra job!

My second passion lies in the medical field. I currently work for a women's health organization and dedicate myself to that full-time. My NEAR future goal is to pursue my career in Modeling for the Plus Size industry, and also become a Physician's Assistant and continue specializing in Women's Health Services.

I am a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to lots of people! I am a very passionate, determined, willing, and giving woman. I am proud of my life experiences; they have made me the fierce woman that I am today, and I look forward to seeing and experiencing what lies ahead!!!

Jessica

I am new to modeling and am enjoying myself immensely!!

I have an eclectic employment history and love adding modeling to a list that includes archeologist, animal shelter volunteer coordinator, and business manager.

My family is getting a kick out of my modeling, too! I have a wonderful daughter in first grade and she loves seeing pictures of her mom in a “magazine”. I love being a mom and am fortunate to be very active in her school – juggling work with classroom volunteering and being treasurer for the education foundation at her school.
